Perfectly positioned for a holiday full of outdoor adventure, the terraced cottage of Little Herdwick is ideal for a group of four to explore all of the excitement that Cumbria has to offer. Found at the centre of the action of Windermere within the Lake District National Park, this desirable location is perfect for a getaway full of fun. Be greeted into the homely abode by a captivating open-plan living/dining area, with a woodburning stove taking centre stage in the room providing an extra sense of comfort in the cooler months. Take a seat within one of the stylish sofas in the sitting area and flick on the television for a film night, or sit around the dining table together for an evening of board games, as well as this making a great spot for more formal dining occasions. Following through to the rear of the property will bring you to the kitchen, where you can find all of the essentials to assist you in your culinary requirements, as well as this room being a fantastically contemporary-styled spot for the chef of the group to enjoy. On the first floor are two equally delightful bedrooms, serviced by a shared, gleaming shower room, this floor is perfect for the whole group to catch up on their rest after a day of adventure. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
