Beautiful cottage, couldn't have asked for anymore. Location was so quiet, comfortable beds
Beautiful cottage, couldn't have asked for anymore. Location was so quiet, comfortable beds Just a little bit of feedback: have more baking trays and larger drinking glasses, also a first aid kit as my MIL cut her finger and we couldnt find one
“Lovely cottage, everything was clean and the information given was really well explained.”
The only bit of feedback we had was no first aid kit (my mother in law sliced her finger and we couldnt find any plasters etc) also more baking sheets and larger drinking glasses
“The cottage was warm, welcoming and comfortable.”
So warm in fact, we didn’t need to light the log burners. Home from home. Sitting around the table and watching the wildlife was fantastic, especially when the roe deer wandered up into the garden. If you want comfort and peace and quiet then this is the place to come.
We had a great stay at Moss Cottage. The property was lovely and clean when we arrived and obviously well cared for. Beautifully decorated, it was warm and cosy and the mix of electric heaters and wood-burners worked well for us. We ate in the dining room most nights and the kitchen was well equipped. Spacious south-facing garden with free bird food topped it all off. Thank you!
“A lovely property tucked away from the busy roads but within a 10 minute walk from the centre of Windermere and all it has to offer.”
The house was exceptionally well presented on arrival and met all our needs for our Christmas week away. We didn't make use of the garden but I imagine it would be a lovely area to relax in at the right time of year. The next best thing was the conservatory, it was lovely to sit in it and watch the birds on the feeders with the woodburner on. All in all a lovely week in a property that suited us perfectly.
A wonderful home from home. Moss Cottage is welcoming and beautifully decorated. It is extremely well equipped and the location is ideal. The cottage is situated at the end of a no-through lane and is only a ten minute walk into Windermere. Highly recommended.
“Moss Cottage was a perfect home from home.”
“We had a wonderful experience staying at this cosy cottage.”
It's beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and in a very good location. We especially like the garden and the living room. Also the kitchen equipments and appliances are much better than other cottages we've been staying during this trip to the UK. My suggestion: some complimentary laundry detergents would be nice since there is a washing machine readily available.
“Moss Cottage is lovely.”
The decor is gorgeous, light and airy with tasteful quality furnishings including very comfy beds and crisp white bedlinen (which smelled gorgeous too!). The layout was very comfortable with a cosy sitting room and a large well fitted kitchen leading into a light and bright conservatory/ dining room so lots of space to spread out and relax. Everything you need is there including fluffy white towels and a welcome pack of tea coffee etc. Everywhere was spotlessly clean on arrival. The location of this pretty house is in a leafy area and the garden is large but secluded and private. It was close enough to town to enable walking into Windermere and the off road parking was a great asset in such a busy holiday destination. Overall a perfect stay - we wished we could have stayed longer and would return without hesitation.
“Very well set up and comfortable”
We booked this house thinking that it was in Bowness so we were surprised when we learnt it was in Windermere. Nice location but the information had been misleading. Feedback would be: No games provided for children but the house information said there would be some. Beautiful garden. Thank you.
“Great house - the heating took some mastering with separate controls for electric radiators”
“The cottage was really lovely, with plenty of space and well equipped we had a great time here.”
“We had a lovely stay / holiday at Moss Cottage.”
Rooms were spacious. We really liked the conservatory area. Kitchen was well equipped with the necessary cutleries. The only downside / complaint we had were the door knobs as it was a bit difficult to 'use' given its so close to the edge of the door.
“Fantastic break in a beautiful place, couldn't fault anything about the property and the travel and key collection instructions were very straightforward.”
The only thing that could be improved about the whole experience was the 1600 check in time. Appreciate that the cleaners are stretched and this is a big property but at 1600 half the day is over and during the winter it is going dark at this time. Overall though a great experience.
“Amazing cottage in an ideal location!”
I stayed here with my bridal party before my wedding and it was everything I wanted and more. The cottage is beautiful with very well thought out, high class furnishings and every facility you could need. I really didn't want to leave it and would love to stay there again
“Wonderful well equipped cottage in an ideal location.”
The conservatory is a lovely place to sit and watch the wildlife in the garden.
“What a lovely cottage and in a great location, so peaceful but only a short walk from the town centre.”
It is tastefully decorated ,very comfortable and equipped with everything you need for your stay. I would have no hesitation in booking Moss Cottage again and would certainly recommend it to family and friends. We loved the whole weekend.
“Moss Cottage was very well appointed and a good location to town.”
The sun room and garden was wonderful and having 4 toilets for a group of 6 was a bonus! The washer & dryer were very welcome as well. The nice TV and internet service was very good for the group. There was very good communication about the cottage, how to gain access and the facilities. The extreme stairs was not a real problem, but was not expecting that. Guests less capable may have a problem so a mention might be helpful. Typical that non-stick pans were in bad shape, but everything else in the kitchen was very nice. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and high grade cottage!
Lovely lounge with comfy seating, conservatory with dining table and chairs and woodburner, large well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms nicely appointed. Outdoor garden and parking for two cars. Quiet area but close to all amenities and quick access to main road for all major attractions. Would definitely recommend.
“Very nice house”
We stayed here for a week and could not have picked a better house to stay in. It is very well equipped with everything you could need and more. There is even food for the birds that visit he garden. The weather was very good and we even managed to have a barbecue. He house is located down a lane off the main road and you are about 15mins walk to the main road in Windermere. We would defiantly return to Moss Cottage.
