The beautiful, detached lodge of Tiggywinkle Beck Lodge is located inside the White Cross Bay Holiday Park near Windermere, Cumbria, and boasts a variety of leisure facilities on its doorstep.

Tiggywinkle Beck Lodge is a lovely getaway for a family of four visiting the Lake District National Park, with ground-floor lodging throughout and off-road parking for two cars.

You'll be pleased to see a picturesque beck running past the property when you arrive, and you'll be greeted with a stylishly furnished open-plan living space once inside.

The well-equipped kitchen will satisfy the aspiring chef, with its cream cupboards housing a variety of appliances, including a convenient electric/gas cooker!

Take a great dinner to the dining room, where you can enjoy it while gazing out over the beck; alternatively, bring the meal to the decking, where you can also enjoy the sounds of the beck running by!

Later, relax in the sitting area, where a corner sofa and armchair await you in front of the glowing gas fire and television. Retire to one of the two excellent bedrooms for a well-deserved rest, the first of which is of which is a a double room with a TV and an en-suite shower room, and the other of which is a twin room with handy, overhead storage and a wall mounted TV.

There's also a nearby bathroom where you can relish a soothing dip in the bath before venturing out to discover what the holiday park has to offer.

The park has something for all ages, from a multi-sports court, indoor swimming pool, and sauna/steam room to a a range of child-friendly activities, including adventure playground, kids' clubs, and an entertainment venue.

Leisure passes are charged per adult and per child depending on date, information requests can be made at park .

The park also has a laundromat, convenience store, and bar/restaurant on site, so there's no need to go far for the things you need.

Venture into Windermere, where you'll find the beautiful Lake Windermere, as well as the Treetop Trek, Wray Castle, and Brockhole Pier's lake tours.

Travel down to Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can take a boat journey to Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's former house, and the Claife Viewing Station; the town itself has a variety of eateries to choose from when you return, whilst also offering a range of independent stores and the delightful World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.

Close by, the wonderful town of Ambleside, as well as the picturesque places of Rydal, Grasmere, and Lakeside, all provide even more outdoor activities among the spectacular scenery.

Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip.
