Lovely house in a great position to walk around lakes ,could do with a freezer and more clarity on how to get rid of waste ,great to have a washer and dryer ,would definitely use again- Mr Lamb, October 2020
“The house was very comfortable and the location was perfect.”
It only takes several minutes to walk to Windermere town centre. And you can also walk to Lake Windermere in about ten minutes by going left down the path behind the back garden.- Mrs Flemming, September 2020
“The property was below the standard expected.”
When I walked in there was a stale smell of dogs which we could not get rid of despite opening windows etc. The cooker was absolutely filthy and on the advert it stated there was a washing machine and there was not. The beds were incredibly old and uncomfortable and the bedding was poor. The property felt very austere and was not comfortable at all.- Miss Herrington, September 2020
“A very well proportioned house, plenty of space and location perfect.”- Mr Laing, August 2020
“Beautiful home situated just outside Windermere town.”
Lovely enclosed garden and spacious accommodation, plenty of parking. Easy 10 min walk down to the lake, all uphill on way back but ok. About 35 mins walk down to Bowness on Windermere. Excellent location for dog in accommodation and very dog friendly in towns- Mrs Burdon, August 2020
“Fantastic walks straight from the door – 5 minutes walk to the lake and a bit longer to Orrest Head plus loads of great kitchen kit for cooking up a storm on our return.”
We loved staying at Willow House – going out all day and enjoying time in the garden and lounge in the evening or walking into Windermere in 5 minutes for the shops and restaurants. The garden is very large and a real treat. The house is in a quiet cul-de sac. Everything was very comfortable – thanks for a fantastic stay. We will be back.- ,
“The location was perfect with both Windermere town and the lake just a short walk away, plus a choice of nice places to eat and drink nearby.”
There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and we could easily park 3 cars on the drive. The house itself was beautifully presented and very comfortable, the spare throws/ blankets in all the rooms and sitting room were a nice and thoughtful touch. The large garden features seating and plenty of room to relax. Would highly recommend Willow House and I'll definitely be staying again next time we visit the Lakes. Enjoy!- S. Clarke,
