Situated just 6 six miles from Keswick, along Derwentwater, and just 2 miles away from England's highest mountain. Inside, there is a living room with an array of comfortable sofas, a large flat screen TV and a lovely open fire, ideal for cosy family nights in. The lounge has a light decor, with a deep purple chimney breast, decorated in attractive white flowers. The property has been designed with many antique furnishings, giving the cottage its lovely countryside-feel. There is an open-plan kitchen and dining area with seating for up to six people, as well as a woodburning stove. Ideal to keep you warm in the chilly evenings. Sit down and enjoy all this room has to offer with your home cooked meals and a refreshing beverage. The kitchen has been renovated to accommodate contemporary fixtures and fittings and all the appliances you could need. The property still retains its original stone steps, but has been covered with a brand new carpet for a comfortable living style. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms: one king-size with an en-suite shower room, one double and one twin. There is a separate bathroom with a bath and shower over, and a separate WC located opposite. All bedrooms have luxurious, soft beds and a variety of antique furniture to house all your personal items. And let's not forget about the two wonderful dressing tables and a Victorian feature fireplace. This cottage has a wealth of character, and wonderful countryside views from your bedroom windows. Outside has a small gravelled area with furniture provided. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Keswick is a wonderful location for your holiday, as it has a number of attractions, including Derwentwater, a lake bordered by fells and ancient woodlands. It offers 5km footpaths and boating services. Castlerigg Stone Circle is a circle of stones which was constructed as part of a megalithic tradition that lasted from 3,000 to 900 BC (Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages). For a taste of history, why not visit Keswick Museum and Art Gallery? It was reopened in 2014 after extensive refurbishment of its 1898 building. It has a varied collection, featuring Keswick's landscapes, history and culture. Hope Park is nearby with its manicured gardens, a stream, trails, picnic tables and mini golf, a wonderful day out for the whole family.
