    The area is very quiet, with little traffic passing by, if you would like a peaceful break to recharge the batteries then this is it. Really enjoyed our stay even with the wet weather.

Settled within a picturesque working farm in Hutton Roof, near Greystoke, Cumbria, this beautiful cottage is ideal for two couples or group of friends sharing, looking to spend a relaxing time in the great outdoors. With off-road parking and storage for boots in the porch, you will reach the property by passing through the lovely private garden and patio, an ideal spot for a coffee in the sunshine. Whip up a meal for the whole group in the kitchen/diner, before settling down with a glass of your favourite beverage in the sitting room as you catch up on your favourite TV shows. The property has two homely king-size bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, where you can shake the countryside chill from your skin. Hutton Roof is a lovely hamlet within easy reach of Greystoke, a town steeped in history and heritage, with several eateries and a magnificent castle. Penrith 5 miles; Keswick 13 miles.

This charming village has a number of 17th Century cottages and is conveniently situated just 5 miles from Penrith. Set just on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park, only 5 miles from Ullswater and the numerous picturesque walks available make this a fabulous location for fans of the outdoors. Nearby, the popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north of the Lake District and has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering the Theatre on the Lake, a charming cinema, museum, indoor climbing wall and miniature golf. The area also steeped in history with a 10th century church in the village, lovely castle in Penrith and the stunning remains of Lowther Castle. Greystoke provides easy access to the spectacular Cumbrian countryside which can be explored by both car and on foot, and the southern Lakes, Eden Valley, Pennines Solway Coast and Hadrian's Wall all within close proximity, making this a great location with plenty to see and do.
