    “Beautiful location and house.”

    It is all done to a high standard with everything you need from kitchen equipment to luxury towels and bathroom toiletries. Parking was ample and, although the brook was noisy, inside the house was quiet. It would be useful to have some welcome guidance. There’s a cute little board with the wifi code on and it looks like there was a section missing which would tell you useful bits like how to control the heating etc. I definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of exploring the Lake ...

Braithwaite 1.5 miles. Ladstock Cottage, a three-bedroom dwelling, is situated in Thornthwaite, Cumbria, a lovely village inside the Lake District National Park. The cottage, which welcomes six guests and has flexible sleeping arrangements and an open-plan layout, is located in a rural area close to numerous mountain bike paths, walks, and a brook, and is ideal for both friends and families. Before gathering around the large dining table, located in the centre of the cottage's social area, take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you'll need for a self-catering stay. From here, you can also unwind on the plush sofas or venture outside to the peaceful front garden, which is perfect for alfresco dining. Returning indoors, have a seat in the cosy snug for a moment of solitude before heading upstairs to the well-appointed bedrooms, which include a king-size with an en suite, a double with an en suite, and a second double. Ladstock Cottage is completed with a main bathroom and a contemporary ground-floor shower room, providing a convenient stay for everyone. Come morning, head into Braithwaite to visit Jasper's Coffee House, Ivy House Restaurant, Coledale Inn, and the village shop. Enjoy leisurely strolls across Bassenthwaite Lake Viewing Point, before planning your route up either Grisedale Pike or Grasmoor. The nearby town of Keswick is home to several historical and cultural attractions, such as the Keswick Museum, Derwent Pencil Museum, Cook House Gallery, and Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum, whilst Hope Park is a stunning area to visit, ideal for birdwatching, picnics in the afternoon, and nature hikes. More than 100 different species can be seen in the Lake District Wildlife Park, which is accessible by car, along with Mirehouse & Gardens, renowned for its gorgeous views of the lake. Between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit.
