“Ideally situated close to Bowness, spacious and comfortable.”

Ideal for a weeks stay in the Lake District. Car park space is handy to have close by, but slightly small, large SUV just about managed to be parked. We would stay again and would recommend.

The property

Set on the fringes of Bowness Bay, near the delightful town of Windermere, is this traditional terraced property boasting a contemporary interior.

Ideal for couples or friends, this slate cottage has been thoughtfully designed, with a high-quality finish and plush furnishings welcoming you inside.

After a busy day exploring the sights and walking through stunning Lake District countryside, relax in front of the woodburner and take in the uplifting atmosphere around you.

The living room is open-plan and situated on the lower ground level, with a dining area and kitchen, wonderfully appointed for preparing those tasty evening meals together.

Nestled on the ground floor, just off the hallway is the bathroom, followed by a double bedroom with its very own en-suite.

Two further bedrooms rest upstairs on the first floor.

Outside you have off-road parking and access to all the shops, pubs and eateries within Windermere and Bowness.

You also have many other towns and villages in the area worth a visit, such as Grasmere, Hawkshead and Ambleside, with Ulverston and Cartmel to the south.

Take a trip over to Grizedale Forest, where many outdoor activities will excite kids and adults alike.

Try mountain biking, Segway treks and zip wires, or simply enjoy a gentle stroll through ancient woodland.

A superb destination and base to choose for your next much-deserved holiday.
