  • “Beautiful location on the river.”

So cozy and the sound of the river far outweighed the sound of traffic coming over the bridge. Bottle of red wine in the kitchen was a nice touch. The garden is enclosed which was great for our dog. We enjoyed walking accross the bridge, down the gravel path and following the river along to see Brougham Castle. There were tea towels, so you only need to take your bath towels. The shower noise is okay if you put it to the right pressure also. All cleaning products are there so you only need ...

All cleaning products are there so you only need toiletries. We went to one of the dog friendly pubs, The Beehive, which is only two minutes walk away right over the bridge. Didn't get time to go to The Crown, but they do tai food! If you need a shop, you will need to go left and carry on over the round about, roughly 15 minutes into town, which a lovely local lady showed me. You will pass B n M, a Spa Garage then Sainsburys is further up, so no need to take half the kitchen cupboards like we did. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to come back for longer to do more exploring! Oh and the bed was so comfy too. There is also an outdoor shed with a barbecue inside if you get the weather.
