“Cosy cottage next to the river”
Stayed here for a week in September 2020. Very cosy cottage, scenic spot next to listed building of Eamont Bridge, with fast flowing river Eamont at bottom of a very well kept garden. Excellent conservatory with good comfy furniture gave us an excellent view of the river and bridge, handy as not the warmest or driest week.
Noisy traffic was flagged up when booking, but you get used to it.
Good location for travelling about, with many beautiful places within easy driving distance.
Cottage is well equipped, and has plenty of pots and pans, even a washing machine and drier in the shed. Good sized fridge, and an unadvertised freezer in the shed.
Comfy furniture of good quality inside and out. Big TV, plus one upstairs (couldn't get that one working). Very large and comfortable Super king sized bed.
Read complaints about the noisy shower, but you just need to turn the flow up a bit, not rocket science.
Enjoyed our stay, despite the weather, but really could have done with instructions and the correct council bags to put the rubbish out for the bin man on Monday (checked detail on line).
