Bottletop is a charming, two-bedroom cottage located in the centre of Windermere, a lively town in the Lake District National Park. Bottletop offers a delightful getaway for a Cumbrian escape, inviting four guests; couples, families, and friends are all welcome. It is located just steps from a wealth of facilities and activities, including Lake Windermere, making it the ideal base for exploration.
Before entering the homely living/dining area, which is furnished with plush seating, a sleek gas fire, a Smart TV, and dining for four, park your car in the car port or make use of the available permit. Travel into the well-equipped kitchen, which has everything you'll need for a self-catered stay, including a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Rustle up and enjoy meals with your loved ones, toasting to your break, before retiring to sleep in one of the two king-size bedrooms available; the first bedroom has a TV, an en-suite shower room, and offers flexibility with a zip/link function. Complete your morning routine in the contemporary bathroom, before exploring the town on foot and arriving at a hub of shops, cafés, and pubs, including The Lamplighter Dining Rooms, The Windermere Pig, and the Brookside Inn.
Take to the water for an afternoon of kayaking or paddleboarding at the Windermere Outdoor Adventure Centre, hike to Orrest Head Viewpoint for breath-taking views of the lake or explore the Holehird Gardens. If you’d prefer to stay on dry land, visit the Windermere Jetty Museum - Tales of boats and steam or the family-friendly World of Beatrix Potter Attraction before donning your walking shoes and making your way through Borrans Park to Ambleside's magnificent Stock Ghyll Waterfall. A must-see location on your agenda is Kendal, where you can tour the castle's ruins, wander along the River Kent, or perfect your swing at the Kendal Golf Club before making it home in time for dinner.

Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
