    “Absolutely loved our stay at Shore View.”

    Great property and fabulous location. Very private, peaceful and the perfect rest for my partner who is slowly recovering from a very serious illness in January. Loved coming back here each day after short trips out in one of our favourite areas which we have previously visited but that one had owners living in the property and lacked the privacy and quiet of Shore View. The weather was kind and allowed us to enjoy the garden and wonderful views from all the rooms especially the juliet balcony ...

The property

Located in the charming town of Grange-over-Sands lies this two bedroom semi-detached house. With easy access to the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales, Shore View is well located for exploring this beautiful part of the UK. Situated on the first floor, the bright and airy lounge features two reclining leather sofas, making it a pleasant spot to relax whilst you admire the views of Morecambe Bay. The kitchen/diner hosts contrasting units and countertops, presenting a contemporary look, while the adjacent dining table offers a place to gather at mealtimes. Shore View hosts a double bedroom in a neutral decor on the ground floor which is accompanied by a separate shower room, making it ideal for couples. Additionally, there is also a shower room on the first floor, to reduce the bathroom queues. The final touches of the property can be found in the garden/patio that offers a delightful furniture setup should you fancy eating outside and with the stunning views of the bay, creates a truly peaceful setting. A walk through the village of Grange-over-Sands promises a selection of restaurants, pubs, cafes and bakeries to feast on, as well as individual shops throughout. A stroll along the promenade would be a productive way to walk off the food, or tackle the rocky fells of the limestone hills for a more challenging task. Lake Windermere is only 8 miles away, meaning you’re never far from the thriving hubs of Bowness and Hawkshead, which still retain much character and charm Further afield, you might want to explore the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. A promising escape to one of the most beautiful parts of the country.

The charming Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands is set between the Lake District fells and Morecambe Bay and offers one of the mildest climates in the north of England. Formerly a small fishing village, the introduction of the Furness Railway transformed Grange-over-Sands into a fashionable Edwardian resort. Today, the town has much to offer the visitor including a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, golf courses, brass band concerts and excellent bird watching. Just a short drive away are Lake Windermere (8 miles), the villages of Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead, which still retain the charm and character that has endeared them to so many, and the home of sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel, with its famous racecourse. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall, with its Elizabethan Hall and world famous topiary gardens, Holker Hall, Furness Abbey, Sizergh Castle, a National Trust medieval house and gardens, and Conishead Priory, a Gothic revival country house. There is also the 25 mile Cistercian Way which starts at Grange over Sands. Set amidst the southern lakes, the attractive town of Grange-over-Sands makes a superb base from which to enjoy the whole of this magical area.
