Askham is a village and civil parish resting in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. Seen as one of the most attractive villages in the County of Westmorland and adjoining the River Lowther, this village contains many whitewashed cottages surrounded by rural country fields, making it a peaceful setting for friends, families or couples seeking an escape to the beautiful Lake District National Park. The village itself has a convenience store, as well as a couple of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience. A short drive away is the historic and thriving towns of Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Keswick, all of which are popular tourist attractions with a range of sites to be seen.
