“The garden could be a lovely feature, and in the nice weather that we had we did sit outside, but it is very overgrown and needs cutting back at the gate and the paths to access the house more easily.”

A set of drawers in the bedroom would have been useful and the towel radiator in the shower room needs fixing. With a bit more maintenance this could be a lovely place to stay. The kitchen/dining room is lovely and well equipped, although the ceiling needs a good clean at the apex. Sykes were unhelpful and do not provide a phone number for contact only a WhatsApp message service. Sykes were unhelpful and do not provide a phone number for contact only a WhatsApp message service. The listing does not state whether towels are provided and for the week previous to going I tried to confirm if they were or not. I was eventually contacted 2 days after we’d arrived. Towels are provided. The listing also stated that there is a pub within a mile, but it has closed down so this should be noted.
