“We had a lovely few days away at High Rigg - thank-you.”
The property was unique and quirky and very peaceful. The hot tub was fantastic and we enjoyed a lovely BBQ in the sunshine! Comfy bed and very clean when we turned up. The shepherds pies in the fridge was a lovely welcome touch.
In the spirit of honesty, there are definitely some things that could improve the ease of stay, especially those guests staying for more than a couple of days:
1. Scissors in the kitchen

In the spirit of honesty, there are definitely some things that could improve the ease of stay, especially those guests staying for more than a couple of days:
1. Scissors in the kitchen
2. The chairs were far too big, we spent most of the time moving them around so we could cook comfortably
3. The path from the parking space to the hut is half slabs half grass - this would be really tricky in winter!
4. Spare bin bags would be good… 1 for a 4 night stay isn’t enough…
5. A small freezer section in the fridge would be great as some ice for your drinks would be nice to have
6. Knives were very blunt, we could barely cut an onion up
Unfortunately on our departure day, we were packing the car an hour and a half (8:30am) before check out (10am) and we had one of the owners ask if the hot tub could be emptied… we were still moving our belongings out and felt this was a bit inappropriate.
Overall we had a very nice relaxing break and would recommend for those couples aiming for a romantic break.
